Our Story

Fable and Fawn was inspired long before I became a mother.

When I was little, my mum painted a chest of drawers for my bedroom. It was covered in blue skies, fluffy white clouds, black and white dairy cows, and bright sunflowers. I remember lying in bed each night, looking at those paintings as I drifted off to sleep. Even now, I can still remember how they made me feel.

Those paintings taught me something I've never forgotten—that a child's bedroom is so much more than just a place to sleep. It's where imaginations come to life, stories begin, and memories are made.

Years later, when I had children of my own, I wanted to create that same feeling for them. Bedrooms and nurseries that felt magical—places filled with imagination, wonder and memories that would last long after they outgrew the room.

That childhood memory stayed with me for years, and eventually became the inspiration behind Fable and Fawn.

Today, every design is created and printed in-house using premium fabric and non-toxic inks, so other families can experience that same joy—from quiet newborn cuddles in the nursery to seeing little faces light up with excitement as they discover their favourite animals on the wall.

Today, my hope is that Fable and Fawn becomes a small part of the memories you create with your children, and that one day they'll look back on those rooms with the same warmth and joy that I still remember from mine.

Designed for Childhood

Every collection we create begins with one simple question:

"Would we choose this for our own children's room?"

If the answer isn't yes, it doesn't become part of the Fable and Fawn collection.

We believe children's rooms should feel timeless rather than trend-driven—spaces that grow alongside your family and remain just as special years later as they were on the very first day.

Made in Australia

Every Fable and Fawn order is designed, printed and packed in-house right here in Melbourne, Australia.

Using premium fabric materials and non-toxic, water-based inks, we carefully produce every order before it leaves our studio. Because we manufacture everything ourselves, we're able to maintain the quality we're proud to put our name on while continually refining and expanding our collections.

Our fabric decals are designed to be easy to apply, repositionable and removable, making it simple to transform a room without the commitment of paint or traditional wallpaper.
